LumeVoice is one of the few dictation tools that led with mobile — iOS and Android shipped alongside macOS, with Windows still on a waitlist. It's a cloud service with zero data retention and on-device history storage, doing the usual filler-word removal plus repetition stripping and mid-sentence correction, where saying "no, make that Tuesday" edits the text rather than typing the words.

What it does well
Both phone platforms shipped before the Windows desktop, which inverts the usual order and shows in the mobile experience.
Mid-sentence correction. Spoken corrections are recognised as corrections and applied, rather than transcribed literally. Genuinely useful and not universal.
Repetition removal. Handles false starts and restarts, not just "um".
Private Mode is the default. Minimal data collection out of the box rather than an opt-in toggle, plus on-device history storage.
100+ languages with translation. Broad coverage at this price.
Where it falls short
No free tier, and three days is not long. Every close competitor lets you use something indefinitely. Three days on the annual plan is the shortest evaluation window in this directory.
The $249 lifetime is hard to justify. Same price as superwhisper's, but this is cloud-only with no offline mode — if the service stops, you have nothing. Voibe's lifetime is $149 and keeps working offline.

The absence of a free tier and the cloud-only lifetime deal are both reasons to try Willow Voice or Wispr Flow first, since both have free tiers and cover Android too.
