Where it falls short

• Five summaries a month makes the free plan a demo. For anyone with daily meetings that's about a day and a half of coverage. Unlimited recording is much less valuable when you have to read the transcripts yourself. Be clear-eyed: the free plan is unlimited at the thing that costs Fathom little and capped at the thing that costs it money.
• No AI tools at all on free beyond those five. No team features either — comments, mentions, and coaching metrics are all paid.
• Four tiers with confusing overlap. Premium $16, Team $15, Business $25 annually, with Team cheaper than Premium. Work out which one you actually need.
• Same consent exposure. A bot joins the call. Everything said about the Otter.ai litigation applies here.
• Video platforms only. Zoom, Meet, and Teams. No in-person capture — that's Plaud's territory.

Pricing

Free gives unlimited recordings, transcriptions, and storage with 5 AI summaries a month. Premium is $20/user/month or $16 annually for unlimited AI summaries. Team Edition is $19/user/month or $15 annually and adds collaboration features. Business is $34/user/month or $25 annually with CRM integration and advanced analytics.

Who it's for

Anyone who wants a complete recorded archive of their meetings for free and only occasionally needs a summary. Above five meaningful meetings a month, price Premium against Fireflies.ai Pro at $10/seat annually, which includes unlimited summaries for less.
