Media minutes, not transcription minutes. The quotas meter everything you process, so a long recording you barely edit still consumes your allowance. Ten hours a month goes faster than it sounds.
Hobbyist and Creator both give ~10 hours. The $8/month difference buys AI features, not capacity, which isn't obvious from the tier names.
Cloud processing and a heavy client. Uploads are required, and the desktop app is resource-hungry on long projects.
Not a meeting notetaker. Despite sitting in this category, it doesn't join calls or produce meeting summaries. It edits recordings you already have.

Who it's for
Podcasters, video producers, and course creators who edit dialogue — the text-based workflow is worth the price if editing is a regular part of your week. If you only need transcripts, this is an expensive way to get them; use Sonix, Vibe, or Buzz instead.
